My husband and I have lived in our house for 13 years. We always envisioned ‘one’ more move but fell in love with our neighbours, our children’s school and the surrounding community. We made the choice to renovate our main floor! I was going to get my KITCHEN!!!
Anyone who is going through this process understands how scary and daunting it can be. We all hear nightmare stories of contractors who left the job half-finished or how the money was spent and the end result was mediocre at best! How do you find someone who you can trust with your vision, your hard earned money, and most importantly your most valuable asset! Our answer was Rimik. Michael took the time to meet with us, listen to our vision (really listen) and provide us with a fair quote. Right from the onset we valued his candidness, knowledge of the business and our belief that he would deliver. He exceeded our expectations.
All of the workers who entered our home were very professional and ‘aces’ of their particular trade(s). We always felt comfortable when they were in our home. They exhibited pride in their work and took the time to communicate with us throughout the process. This is vastly important when you have someone indecisive like myself!
Renovating with children isn’t easy. Rimik’s workers were respectful of our life schedules and even ensured that they cleaned up every day so that the impact on our lives would be minimized. One afternoon, a worker drove back from Guelph because he wanted to vacuum. He felt that the dirt and dust would be unsettling for the kids. Does this not speak volumes?
Everyone who walks through our home cannot believe the transformation. The constant questions we get are; Who did this? Look at the cuts?! Look at the finishes?! It is beautiful.
In today’s world there are so many choices! It is difficult to decide which way to turn. If I have learned anything through this process it would be to go with your gut, not just the cheapest quote on the market! Value the power of a referral! Choose people who are masters of their craft, dependable and who take price in the end result as you do. To us, the answer is simple, it is RIMIK.
