When we repatriated from an international assignment and chose to settle down in Guelph, finding a house which was cozy enough and yet offered potential to expand was a challenging task.
However we were lucky enough to find a house meeting our requirements in a few days of our house hunting trip. Now, the next and bigger challenge was to convert this house into “our home”, requiring major renovation work, including revamped kitchen (new granite counters, faucets, RO system, and pantry), hardwood floors, fully furnished basement and garage shelving.
An old friend of our introduced us to Mike. Mike understood our urgency and got in touch with us on a short notice. Mike took copious notes to ensure nothing got missed from our wish list. We closed our house in mid-August and Mike started working on the house the very next day. Before our household goods got delivered in September, Mike and his crew completed not only the upper and main floor but also got majority of the basement work. Design changes suggested by Mike showcased why he was more than just a renovation contractor. Mike transformed the basement into a large, open and functional basement, adding a study with wider entrance and full three piece bathroom as well.
Being a qualified engineer you can expect Mike to be a perfectionist. And this was evident from the quality of workmanship Mike put in to transform our house. Mike met our expectations and helped us realize the full potential the house we bought offered and helped us convert it into the home we needed.
